Burgess Hill Musical Theatre Society
We’re an amateur society dedicated to staging high quality productions of popular musicals for the local community.
Our musical range covers the outrageously silly Gilbert & Sullivan shows of the late 19th century (like Pirates of Penzance and The Mikado) through many of the popular Broadway shows (Fiddler on the Roof, Calamity Jane, etc), right up to more recent hits like Chess, Hot Mikado and Jekyll & Hyde.
Contact us via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org, or phone Michelle Bryant, Chairman on 01273 844497.
We’re also delighted to have a thriving Youth Section with 8 to 15 year olds learning all the basics of stage performance. They rehearse once a week for their own productions and for some of the society’s main productions.
Previously known as The Scala, the current cinema building was opened in 1928 complete with a stage and dressing rooms. A second screen was added in 1990.
